The DDDC uses Connect-Ed for urgent communications. This electronic notification system will be used to send important messages to groups of staff and parents.
Whether it is an early school closing due to bad weather, cancelation of a DOORS meeting, or a rare instance of an electric or water outage, the Connect-Ed system will notify you based on the phone number(s), email address(es), and texting information each family or staff member provides. We will do periodic checks to ensure our contact information is up to date.
Information about DDDC closings and delayed openings will also be available on WCTC (1450 AM) or WMGQ (98.3 FM) between 6:15 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. It will be announced under Special Facilities Closing, as the Douglass Developmental Disabilities Center, Douglass Campus, New Brunswick. The radio announcements can also be found here: http://www.centraljerseysnow.com/enduser/organizationstatuspage.cfm.
If there is a delayed opening, staff will report at 10 a.m. and the students will arrive at 10:30 a.m.
If there is an early dismissal due to weather conditions it will be at 1:15 p.m.
There will not be both a delayed opening and an early dismissal. It will be one or the other.
