PDF version of this page

Psychoeducational Evaluations are conducted by trained professionals who are experts in the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and are experienced in working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). Appropriate standardized and descriptive assessments are selected and utilized in accordance with specific referral questions; and may include measures of diagnosis, cognitive ability, academic achievement, language, and adaptive behavior.

The Psychoeducational evaluation includes the following:

  • A Psychological Evaluation by a licensed Clinical or School Psychologist
  • An Educational Evaluation by a Learning Consultant (LDTC)
  • A Speech and Language Evaluation by a licensed Speech and Language Pathologist
  • A Written Report
  • A Conference to discuss results and recommendations
  • Depending on the referral concern(s), assessments may be conducted on site at the DDDC, in the school setting and/or at the individual's home
