School Based Consultations

School Based Consultations are conducted by trained professionals who are experts in the
principles of Applied Behavior Analysis and are experienced in working with the individuals
with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). The goal of cosultation is to support educational
communities to establish evidence-based programs that will allow learners to maximize their
full potential.
- Identification of the needs of the individual program to maximize positive outcomes
- Program evaluations
- Support for learners within inclusive educational environments
- Behavioral observations of classes, interviews with staff, record and data reviews, and analysis of data
- Clinical oversight and guidance in the implementation of behavioral methodology:
- Training strategies for staff development
- Development of educational/clinical programs
- Curriculum modifications
- A team approach that encourages all staff to participate in workshops/trainings, feedback sessions, and meetings
- Support for professional development of staff
- Support for reducing challenging behaviors of learners
- Written consultation notes that summarize observations and offer suggestions for future considerations
